Ehtesab Court gives Wattoo last chance to deposit Rs 5m

LAHORE: An Ehtesab Court on Friday, while adjourning the proceedings till April 14 in a reference against the former chief minister of Punjab, Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, provided him last opportunity to deposit Rs 5 million.

Malik Haider Usman, the co-accused in the case appeared before the court and requested to give him a chance to deposit the amount of Rs 5 million. The court accepting his request, observed that it would be the last chance for him as the court had already given him a number of chances in this regard.

It may be mentioned that Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has been facing the charge of misusing the Baitul Mal funds by distributing the same to his favourites in violation of rules and abusing his powers as chief minister of Punjab.
