ECCMA convenes meeting on 4th

LAHORE: Engineering Components and Machinery Manufacturing Association of Pakistan (ECCMA) has convened a meeting of its members on April 4 to formulate proposals and suggestions for the trade policy and budget for the year 2000-2001.

ECCMA Chairman Rehmat Ullah Javed, in a statement issued here on Friday said that the representatives of engineering industry will meet at the PITAC to propose measures to boost exports of engineering products and to revive the engineering industry.

ECCMA will also be holding meeting with a Japanese delegation visiting Pakistan to discuss and decide a new programme to assist PITAC to balance and modernise the working and facility of PITAC to meet the demands of industry of this area.

Javed claimed that the Japan is considering to provide latest and high tech machinery and plant to PITAC.
