Beware of April Fool
ISLAMABAD: You might be shocked by a hoax or a false news, beware of it as the "April Fool" falls Saturday.
An acquaintance or any unfamiliar person can pass an information, spurious and baseless, on telephone, amusing himself but shocking you.
Take care on the day, that in actual is the "First of April" and confirm the information passed to you first, then react.
You might be taken off guard by one of your friends, bringing trouble to you and ignorant of the fact how much harm it can cause.
Obnoxious phone delivering a message about the death of some dear one or a mishap can stun you.
A friend may throw a party which may never materialise and end in buffoonery and offer bouquets with generous sprinkling of pepper or red chilies.
Children often indulge in offering sweet meats that are stuffed with 'desi' soaps or even salts.
The list could go on endlessly depending on the creativity of the 'evil geniuses' so a word of caution and beware of out-of-routine invitations, gifts and callers etc.
Number of people, on the day, play tricks on their friends and families for the sake of fun.
Religious circles strictly oppose this fun, believing, "this pratice is un-Islamic and against all moral values."
"This is certainly a bad and unhealthy tradition to pass on pain and shock to others for the sake of fun and personal pleasure," a religious scholar Hafiz Mohammad Umar said.ÑAPP
