NOTIFICATION

CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS BYE-LAWS, 1983
S.R.O. 76(KE)/2001: The following
certain amendments in the Chartered Accountants Bye-laws 1983, which it is proposed to
make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 27 of the Charted
Accountants Ordinance, 1961 (X of 1961), the Council of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Pakistan, with the approval of the Federal Government, is pleased to direct
that the following further amendments shall be made in the Chartered Accountants Bye-laws,
1983, the same having been previously published as required by sub-section (3) of that
serious, namely:-
In the aforesaid Bye-laws the existing bye-law 122 shall be numbered as clause (1) of that
bye-law and thereafter the following new clause be added, namely:-
"(2) The Foundation Examinations to be held in March 2001 and onwards shall be
conducted under the Modular Scheme of Foundation Examinations, and candidates shall be
allowed to retain a pass in a paper or papers, or part of a paper or papers, as the
Council may from time to time determine."
