ORDINANCE NO. LX OF 2000
AN
ORDINANCE
to amend the Micro-finance Bank Ordinance, 2000

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Micro-finance Bank Ordinance, 200(XXXII of 2000), for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

AND WHEREAS the National Assembly and the Senate stand suspended in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, and the Provisional Constitution Order No.1 of 1999;

AND WHEREAS the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, and the Provincial Constitution Order No. 1 of 1999, read with the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order No. 9 of 1999, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:--

1. Short title, and commencement.-- (1) This Ordinance may be called the Micro-finance Bank (Amendment) Ordinance, 2000.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of long title and preamble, Ordinance XXXII of 2000.-- In the Micro-finance Bank Ordinance, 2000 (XXXII of 2000), hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance,--

(a) in the long title, for the words "Micro-finance" the word "Khushhali" shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been so substituted; and

(b) in the preamble, for the words "Micro-finance" the word "Khushhali" shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been so substituted.

3. Amendment of section 1, Ordinance XXXII of 2000.-- In the said Ordinance, in section 1, in sub-section (1), for the words "Micro-finance" the word "Khushhali" shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been so substituted.

4. General amendments, Ordinance XXXII of 2000.-- Throughout the said Ordinance:--

(a) for the words "Micro-finance" the word "Khushhali" shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been so substituted; and

(b) for the letters "MfB" the letters "KB" shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been so substituted.
