Central Excise duty on documents filed by the Customs Agents was exempted w.e.f. 1.7.2000
vide SRO___(I)/2000 dated 6.7.2000. It is, therefore, circulated for information of all
concerned that no Central Excise duty is leviable at the time of filing of bills of
entry/shipping bills w.e.f. 1.7.2000.
