NOTIFICATION
(Central Excise)
S.R.O.331(I)/2002.—
In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (8) of section 2 of the Central Excises
Act, 1944 (I of 1944) read with rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central
Board of Revenue is pleased to invest the Director General Large Taxpayers Unit and other
officers posted in that Unit with the powers of Central Excise officers and authorizes
them to exercise all the powers conferred by the said Act and Rules in respect of the
taxpayers falling in his jurisdiction.
