S.R.O.243(I)/2002.—
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of
1944), the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further
amendment shall be made in the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely:-
In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 139, for clause (1), the following shall be substituted,
namely:-
“(1) Construction materials such as cement, paints, varnishes, metal containers,
wires and cables and asphalt;”
