NOTIFICATION
(Central Excise)
S.R.O.____(I)/2001.-- In exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944),
the Federal Government is pleased to direct that in its Notification No. S.R.O. 455(I)/96,
dated the 13th June, 1996, the following further amendments shall be made and shall be
deemed to have been so made on the 18th June, 2001, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in column (1),--
(1) against item relating to "Cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes", in
column (3), in clause (v), for sub-clause (b), against entry number (ii), in column (4),
for the word "paisa" the words "per cent" shall be substituted;
(2) for item relating to "Base lube oil" and the entries relating thereto in
columns (2), (3) and (4) the following shall be substituted, namely:-
| "Base lube oil | 2710.0093 |
(i) Base lube oil manufactured in refineries if used in the manufacture of lubricating oils subjected to duties of excise provided that the provisions of Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, are followed | Nil. |
| (ii) If used in the manufacture of grease subjected to duties of excise provided that the provisions of Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, are followed | Nil."; |
(3) after item relating to "Base lube oil" and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3) and (4), the following new entries relating thereto shall be inserted, namely:-
| Lubricating oil | 2710.0081 2710.0082 |
(i) If supplied to Pakistan Navy for consumption in its vessels | Nil. |
| (ii) If manufactured from reclaimed oils | Five rupees per litre,"; and |
(4) against item relating to "Wire and cable", in column (2), after heading number 8544.0000, the following new heading number and the entry relating thereto in column (3) and (4) shall be added, namely:-
| "8544.1100 | Enamelled copper wire | Nil." |
