S.R.O. 997(I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.455(I)/96, dated the 13 th June, 1996, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification, in the Table, in column (1), after heading number 9801.0000, in column (2), in column (3), for the words, comma and figure "If subjected to sales tax under the Sales Tax Act, 1990" the words, commas, figures and brackets "If provided by a hotel, restaurant and club which is registered under Sales Tax Act, 1990, and paying sales tax under sub-section (1) of section 3 thereof on food, drinks and eatables supplied by it "shall be substituted.
