NOTIFICATION

(Central Excise)

S.R.O. 995(I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in its Notification No.S.R.O.962(I)/99, dated the 26th August, 1999, namely:-

In the aforesaid Notification, in the table, in column (1),-

(1) before item relating to "Sunflower seeds excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing" and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3) and (4), the following new items shall be inserted, namely:-

"Soya beans seeds 12.01 excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing

If imported at C&F price:
(i) of US$ 210 Fifteen per cent ad val. (and equivalent) per tonne

(ii) exceeding Fifteen per cent ad val. US$ 240 calculated as if (and imported on US$ equivalent) (and equivalent) per tonne reduced by an amount equal to C&F price in excess of US$ 210 (and equivalent) per tonne.

(iii) of US$ 240 Nil (and equivalent) per tonne.

Rape or colza 1205.0000 seeds excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing.

If imported oat C&F price:
(i) of US$ 210 (and Fifteen per cent ad equivalent) per val. tonne.

(ii) exceeding US$ fifteen per cent ad 210 (and val. calculated as if equivalent) per imported on US tonne but less than 210 (and a US$ 240 (and equivalent) per equivalent) per tonne reduced by tonne an amount equal to C&F price in excess of US$210 (and equivalent) per tonne.

(iii) of US$ 240 (and Nil." and equivalent) per tonne

(2) after item relating to "Sunflower seeds excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing" and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3) and (4), the following new items shall be inserted, namely:-

"Cotton seed 1207.2000 excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing.	If imported at C&F price: (i) of US$ 210 (and Fifteen per cent ad equivalent) per val tonne. (ii) exceeding US$ Fifteen per cent ad 210 (and val. calculated as if equivalent) per imported on US$ tonne but less 210 (and then US$ 240 equivalent) per (and equivalent) tone reduced by per tonne an amount equal to C&F price in excess of US$ 210 (and equivalent) per tonne. (iii) of US$ 240 (and Nil. equivalent) per tonne.
Mustard seeds 1207.5000 excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing	If imported at C&F price: (i) of US$ 210 (and Fifteen percent ad val. equivalent per tonne. (ii) exceeding US$ Fifteen per cent ad val. 210 (and calculated as if equivalent) per imported on US$ tonne but less 210 (and than US$ 240 equivalent) per (and equivalent) tonne reduced by per tonne an amount equal to C&F price in excess of US$ 210 (and equivalent) per tonne. (iii) of US$ 240 (and Nil. equivalent) per tonne.
Safflower seeds 1207.6000 excluding hybrid seeds meant for sowing.	If imported at C&F price: (i) of US$210 (and fifteen per cent ad val equivalent) per tonne. (ii) exceeding US$210 fifteen per cent ad val (and calculated as if equivalent) per imported on US$ tonne but less than 210 (and US$ 240 (and equivalent) per tonne reduced by an amount equal to C&F price in excess of US$ 210 (and equivalent) per tonne. (iii) of US$ 240 (and Nil." equivalent) per tonne.

3. This shall take effect from the 26th of August, 1999.
