S.R.O. 848(I)/99.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely:-

In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 235, in sub-rule (1), after serial number 72 the following new entries shall be added, namely:-

"73. Man-made fibres and yarns.
74. Cotton yarn, twist and thread".

1. This notification shall take effect from the 1st day of July, 1999.
