NOTIFICATION

(CUSTOMS)

S.R.O. 454(I)/2004. - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification No. S.R.O. 438(I)/2001, dated the 18^th June, 2001, namely: -

In the aforesaid Notification, -

(i) conditions (2) and (3) shall be omitted;

(ii) in Explanation, in clause (1), in sub-clause (d), after the figure “7”, the word and figure “and 8” shall be inserted;

(iii) in the Table,-

(a) against S. No. 2, in column (2), in column (4), for the figure “10” the figure “5” shall be substituted;

(b) against S. No. 3, in column (2), in column (4), for the figure “10” the figure “5” shall be substituted;

(d) against S. No. 7, in column (3),-

(i) for the comma, occurring after the word “hydel” the word “and” shall be substituted; and

(ii) the words “and renewable resources” shall be omitted; and

(e) after S. No. 7, in column (1), the following new serial number and the entries relating thereto in columns (2), (3) and (4) shall be added, namely:-

“8.

Plant, machinery and equipment.

For generation of power through renewable energy sources like solar, wind, microhydal, bio-energy, ocean, waste-to-energy, hydrogen cell, etc.

0% ad val.”.; and

(iv) after the Table, the FORM shall be omitted.”.
