To make matters worse, exports of yarn and gray cloth have been fined by anti-dumping duties by Japan in 1995, and by the EU in FY00. Anti-dumping duties on combed cotton yarn were also imposed by the US in March 1999, as these exports were allegedly hurting the US textile industry.
