CLASSIFICAION OF ACCOUNTS BY RESIDENCE AND BY INSTITUTIONAL SECTOR
For purpose of analyzing economic and financial developments, it is essential to distinguish among sectors of the economy according to the economic and financial behavior of the transactions. According to the United Nations A System of National Accounts (SNA), the classification of the economy by sectors divides entitles into groups that are homogeneous and share common characteristics and motives for transacting.
The primary distinction in relation to the sectorization of the economy is between residents and nonresidents.
