SUBJECT:     OLD NIC NOT TO BE ACCEPTED AS VALID IDENTITY DOCUMENT

Additional Registrars, Joint Registrars and Deputy Registrars working in the Company Registration Offices might be aware that Old National Identity Cards have been cancelled by the Government of Pakistan. Since Rule 2A of the Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Rules, 1985 and statutory returns require that every subscriber, director, other officer and shareholders shall specify their NIC number, the dealing officers are required to ensure that new NIC (i.e., Computerized NIC) are mentioned in the relevant papers.
