S.R.O. 975(I)/2003.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 476 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (the Ordinance) and subject to its previous directives issued under S.R.O.230(I)/2001 dated 16.4.2001 and S.R.O.386(I)/2002 dated 18.6.2002, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is pleased to order that –
(i) powers of the Registrar conferred by
clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 476 of the Ordinance, shall be
exercised by the Additional Registrar, Company Registration Office (CRO),
Karachi and the Additional Registrar, Company Registration Office (CRO), Lahore,
as specified below:-
(a) Powers to be exercised by Additional Registrar, CRO, Karachi in the matters
of companies registered with -
· Company Registration Office, Karachi;
· Company Registration Office, Quetta;
· Company Registration Office, Sukkur;
(b) Powers to be exercised by Additional Registrar, CRO, Lahore in the matters
of companies registered with -
· Company Registration Office, Lahore;
· Company Registration Office, Faisalabad;
· Company Registration Office, Multan; and
(ii) powers of the Additional Registrar, CRO, Karachi and the Additional
Registrar, CRO, Lahore conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of the
aforesaid section 476 in the matters of companies falling in their jurisdiction,
shall be exercised by the Joint Registrars concerned of the respective CROs, as
the case may be.
