CORPORATE means public limited companies, govt. corporations formed under special charters/statutes and such entities, which do not come under the definition of SMEs.
SME: entity, ideally not a public limited company, which does not employ more than 250 persons (if it is manufacturing concern) and 50 persons (if it is trading / service concern) and also fulfills the following criteria of either ‘a’ and ‘c’ or ‘b’ and ‘c’ as relevant:
(a) A trading / service concern with total assets at cost excluding land and building upto Rs 50 million.
(b) A manufacturing concern with total assets at cost excluding land and building upto Rs 100 million.
(c) Any concern (trading, service or manufacturing) with net sales not exceeding Rs 300 million as per latest financial statements.
The advances provided to individuals for business purpose will also be reported under SMEs.
CONSUMER FINANCING: means any financing allowed  to individuals for meeting their personal, family or household needs.
Note GROSS DISBURSEMENT means amount disbursed to the new clients as well as additional amount provided to the existing customers during the reporting period.  The renewal and rollover of existing facilities made during the reporting period will also be treated as disbursement.  In case of running finance, the amount disbursed should not exceed the credit limit given to the borrower i.e. in case disbursement exceeds the credit limit, the amount of credit limit will be reported as gross disbursement.
