S.R.O. 771(I)/80.- In exercise of powers conferred by
section 36 of the Drugs Act, 1976 (XXXI of 1976), the Federal Government being of the
opinion that the public interest so requires, is pleased to exempt the drugs manufactured,
with the prior permission of the Federal Government, for export by manufacturers licensed
under the said Act to manufacture any drug and to import pharmaceutical raw/packing
material to be utilised in the drugs to be manufactured for export purposes only,
excluding psychotropic and narcotic drugs, from the provisions of sub-clause (vii) of
clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 23 of that Act for a period of 5 years.
