Islamabad, the 17th February, 1977
S.R.O. 189(I)/77.- In exercise of the powers conferred
by section 36 of the Drugs Act, 1976 (XXXI of 1976), the Federal Government being of
opinion that the public interest so requires, is pleased to exempt,
1. Dextrose in normal Soline.
2. Dextrose in water.
3. Chloroquine Injections.
manufactured by M/s. Shifa Laboratories, Link McLeod Road, Lahore from the provisions of
sub-clause (vii) of clause (a) and clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the said
Act, subject to the condition that they shall manufacture only these drugs and shall
comply with the conditions of the licence and of registration under rules 19 and 30 of the
Drugs (Licensing, Registering and Advertising) Rules, 1976.
2. The exemption granted under this notification shall remain valid for a period of six
months.
