S.R.O. 1113(I)/86.- In exercise of the powers conferred
by section 36 of the Drugs Act. 1976 (XXXI of 1976), and in supersession of this
Ministrys Notification No. S.R.O. 268(I)/79, dated the 21st
March, 1979, the Federal Government is pleased to exempt, from the operation of all
provisions of the said Act, such substances intended to be used for the destruction or
repulsion of such vermin, insects, rodents and other organisms as cause, carry or transmit
disease in human beings or animals or for disinfection in residential areas or in premises
in which food is manufactured, prepared or kept or stored, and such pesticides as may
cause health hazard to the public.
