NOTIFICATIONS
Islamabad, the 25th March, 2003
S.R.O. 295 (I)/2003 – The following draft of certain further amendments in the drugs (Labeling and Packing) Rules, 1986 which it is proposed to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43 of the Drugs Act , 1976 (XXXI of 1976), is hereby published as required by sub-section (3) of the said section, for information of all persons likely to be a affected therby and notice is hereby given that the draft will be taken into consideration by the Federal Government after fifteen days of its publication in the official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft, before the expiry of the said period , will be considered by the Federal Government
DRAFT AMENDMENTS
In the aforesaid rules, in rule 7 for the words, commas and full stop “bear the words of mark reading “government supply” or such words or marks as may be required by the agency concerned. The following shall be substituted, namely:-
“Company with the following conditions, namely:-
(a) all the supplies made as above shall be in “ Pakistan Green” colored labels and packing, wth the government logo printed prominently on it; and
(b) the following words shall be printed prominently in red color in English & Urdu namely :-
“Government Supply” “Not for Sale”
Explanation – For the purpose of this rule “Pakistan Green” may be referred to the green color as in the flag of Pakistan, with a little variation of shades”
